I LOVE getting customer photos of your #daughterziondesigns in their new homes. It closes out the circle of creation for me, as I saw them from sketch to final painting, but then get to see them hung in your homes, where you will enjoy them and have them speak to you. This piece was made for my old friend @lhamblet86 from high school! It’s from Alexandre Dumas, in the Count of Monte Cristo. The amazing part of this project though, is that she made those beautiful frames from scratch! And that headboard too. This woman is super talented behind the saw, and I’m always amazed at the projects she creates. Thanks for always documenting them Linds! It’s like getting to watch HGTV without buying cable!

087/100 of #the100dayprojectdzd The next layer on this beast is done, and the tree is ready to be dressed. I have done a lot of lettering in my life, but surprisingly, not too much on canvas. And definitely not on a large canvas. It was definitely more of a challenge, due to the bounce of the canvas. Thankfully I had a day free of distractions and I could just letter and take my time to make it crisp and clear. . . 36”x48” acrylic on gallery wrapped (deep set) canvas. Not for sale.
086/100 of #the100dayprojectdzd The #the100dayproject is supposed to finish tomorrow, but it looks like I’ll be finishing it up late. That’s ok, because I know I’ve still managed to surpass my goal of finishing 80 days of paintings, and will be striving to get all the way to 100, even if I’m late! There’s a cool breeze outside today, making it a little easier to stay in and paint. The sun is still shining though, so it’s still a good feeling day. What do you do on those perfect summer days that aren’t too hot nor too cold?
